ჯოისის მოდერნისტული Gesamtkunstwerk: ულისე და ვაგნერისეული ტოტალური ხელოვნება

ანოტაცია

სტატიაში ჯეიმზ ჯოისის ულისე განხილულია, როგორც მოდერნისტული Gesamtkunstwerk - ვაგნერისეული „ხელოვნების ტოტალური ნიმუშის“ კონცეპტის ვერბალური ხორცშესხმა. თუ ვაგნერის მიზანი იყო, პოეზია, მუსიკა და დრამა ერთიან ესთეტიკურ გამოცდილებად ექცია, ჯოისი იგივე ექსპერიმენტს მიმართავდა ვერბალური ხელოვნების სფეროში - იგი ცდილობდა, ნარატივის, მუსიკალობისა და ლინგვისტური ექსპერიმენტირების ორკესტრირებით მოდერნისტული ხელოვნების ახალი ფორმა შეექმნა. ესეიში ნაჩვენებია, რომ ჯოისი ბრმად კი არ ბაძავს ვაგნერის სტრატეგიას, არამედ მის ტრანსფორმირებულ ვერსიას გვთავაზობს, სადაც ლაიტმოტივი, პოლიფონია და მითოსი ტექსტუალურ ტექნიკად გარდაიქმნება. რიჩარდ ელმანისა და ტიმოთი მარტინის შრომებზე დაყრდნობით, სტატიის ავტორი ამტკიცებს, რომ ჯოისი ერთდროულად განასხეულებს და აკრიტიკებს ვაგნერისეულ იდეალს - იგი ქმნის ტოტალურ ხელოვნებას,
